I can’t count the number of times I’ve found the answer to my daunting programming problem somewhere on the web… on some random programmer’s web site or forum post. That programmer will never know that they just saved me hours of work or just how many other programmers they’ve done the same for. Without knowing it, we programmers are collectively each other’s reference book and mentor.
I am compelled to return that favor at least in some small way. May the problems I’ve come across over the years and the discoveries made help others even a fraction of how much others have helped me.
When I’m not blogging about programming, I’m actually doing it. I work for Vertigo Software, creator of numerous distinguished websites and applications including the 2010 Winter Olympics streaming video site, Hardrock Cafe memorabilia site, and the 2009 Presidential Inauguration online ceremony.
In my spare time, I created PuzzleTouch Jigsaw Puzzles, free online jigsaw puzzles for the web, Windows Phone, and Windows 8 and MyPadlock Password Manager, free password manager software for Windows (written in WPF). Check them out if you haven’t yet, they’re free && (useful || fun)! 🙂
